The remote handling tong EMS is used for manipulation in glove boxes or hot cells with articulated lead balls.

The handling tong EMS consists of few main components and eventual extensions :

- The tong rod with a screw on the back side to limit or reduce the opening of the jaws. The screw can lock the tong squeezing.

- An alpha adaptor for fixing the tight sleeve, transferring tightly the motion between the tong head and rod.

The straight extension units are connected between the tong head and the alpha adaptor though the same change station as for the tong heads.

The right angle adaptors are connected between the tong head and the alpha adaptor as the extension units, in 4 directions : left - right - up - down.
